Homemade Granola Bars … Nothing’s Better!

Here is how you make them … super-easy 🙂

1. Line an 8x8inch baking pan with foil letting it extend over the sides.  Grease with butter.

2. In a large bowl mix 1 cup of Pc Organics Granola/Blue menu/Natures Path/Enjoy Life or Kashi granola; 1 cup of rolled oats, ½ cup of whole wheat flour and 1 cup of diced honey dates (see variations below)

3. In a small bowl, whisk together 1 egg, ¼ cup honey, ¼ cup canola oil and ¼ tsp cinnamon.  Stir into granola mixture, then pat batter into pan.

4. Bake at 325 for 30 minutes or until browned.  When cool, use foil to life from pan.  Cut into bars.  Store at room temperature for 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.  Makes 9 squares.

5. Add big chunks of almonds, and unroasted cashews if desired.
